Description
We are pleased to present a lot of three "Gilnockie"porcelain
plates circa 1925, featuring the burgee of the NYCC crossed with the private signal of Clinton Prescott Knight (1861-1933) of Providence, Rhode Island. The Gilnockie was a motor yacht built in 1923 by Luders Marine Construction. Knight was a textile manufacturer in Rhode Island. Includes:
1x 6" bread plate, 1/2" flake off rim, made in Bavaria (Germany), imported by James Shaw, with a 1925 date
2x 8.5" lunch plates,
made in Bavaria (Germany),
imported by James Shaw, with a 12-31 mark (perhaps 1931), both in very good condition with some light scuffs or marks to glaze
