LOCOMOTIVE & BOX ARE RATED ACCORDING TO OFFICIAL TCA STANDARDS
This colorful LGB, difficult to find, New Haven F-7 A Unit diesel (which was made only for LGB of America, 2001-2003) is updated and customized with an ESU DCC V4.0 XL decoder and all LED interior and exterior lights.  It is outfitted with LGB American Knuckle couplers.  It has been programmed for “Locomotive Momentum,” which replicates the mass of a real train for more realistic operation compared to toy trains.  Acceleration and deceleration will occur over a brief period of time independent of how fast the throttle is opened or closed.
The locomotive is a C-8:  This loco is in Like New condition with the exception of a very small superficial smudge located in the rear roof area.  (See photograph)  It has seen very light service and is in like-new running condition.  It is from my personal collection operated in a smoke free, indoor environment only.  It includes all original LGB equipment including the two seven-pole Buhler motors.  Inside the cab is an engineer and a fireman.  The 16 function ESU V4.0 XL sound decoder (See photo of F-Assignments) is outstanding and contributes to a very realistic operation.  The locomotive is powerful and is well suited to pull a long string of cars.  The LED lighting is in excellent working order.   The outer shell is striking in appearance and with the exception noted above its paint and livery are free of any scratches, marks or fading.
Box is P-7:  Its overall appearance is excellent, but is marred slightly by an abrasion in one corner (See photograph).  There is also some edge wear.  The shipping foam is a little worn in places.  Original colors, logo and photo are true with no fading.  There is no original owner’s manual.  Included is the 16 Function key sheet and two brake cylinders for attachment if the locomotive is to be used for display purposes only.
