FAKTU OINTMENT 20g
The ointment is used to treat hemorrhoids and other diseases of the rectum. It quickly stops bleeding, itching and burning in the rectal area, prevents inflammation and promotes tissue regeneration in the affected area. The ointment is intended for the treatment of external and internal hemorrhoids. It is also used for rashes and itching in the rectal area (anal eczema, redness) and for small wounds in the rectal area (blisters and cracks). On the doctor's recommendation, the ointment can also be used to treat wounds after rectal surgery (proctocolic surgery).
Dosage:
Unless otherwise prescribed, apply 2-3 times a day (morning and evening) to the affected area, rubbing if possible.
Way of use:
It is best to apply 2-3 times a day just after emptying the rectum and after washing (showering). After the symptoms have subsided, it can be applied once a day (it is recommended to continue treatment for another 8-10 days after the symptoms have disappeared). For internal hemorrhoids, the enclosed tube applicator should be used. The tube is compressed gently so that the ointment flows evenly into the hole on the applicator side and into the damaged area. Slight rotation of the tube helps to spread the ointment evenly.
Warning:
There are no adequate data from the use of drugs (polycresulene and cinchocain hydrochloride) in pregnant women and their excretion in breast milk. Ointment can be used if your doctor considers that the benefit outweighs the potential risk to your unborn or breastfed baby. No clinical studies have been performed in children, therefore its use in children is not recommended. If the problem persists for more than 2-3 weeks , a thorough examination of the affected area is required.
Faktu must not be used in case of hypersensitivity to cinchocaine or other components of the medicine. There is no clinical experience in children, therefore Faktu is not given to children.
